Active Chair, Graham Forsyth, sharing a joke with Minister Woodridge at the opening of our Whittlesea SDA villa units in 2014

We would like to take this opportunity to thank outgoing board member, Graham Forsyth, for his invaluable contribution to Active Community Housing.

A key driver in the establishment of the organisation in 1998, Graham is to be acknowledged for his decades of involvement in the disability services sector, his commitment to Active Community Housing and the people utilising the organisation’s services.

Across the course of his involvement with Active, Graham has applied his professional skills of adaptability, exibility and strong communication capabilities, developed throughout his career working for government and professional bodies. This has supported his ability to provide effective governance across a range of board roles for Active, including Chair from 2009 – 2015 as well as Treasurer and Deputy Chair across his many years of service.

Graham has assisted with many pivotal decisions as part of his role on the Active board, however he views his contributions to the community as some of his proudest achievements.
He also cites the recruitment of current CEO Chris Glennen, and the work undertaken together to broaden Active’s role and activities, as a lasting legacy of his time with the organisation.

On behalf of the Active community, we extend our wholehearted thanks and acknowledgement to Graham, and wish him the very best for the next wonderful chapter in his life.
